I grew up in the beautiful state of Tasmania, and after finishing year 12, I took a gap decade. I worked numerous jobs at a time, travelled the world and had many wonderful experiences. I ended up working on private Superyachts where I began studying Certificate 4 in Fitness in my down time. It only left me wanting to know more, so as a mature aged student, I applied for Uni.
I can’t say that I’d always wanted to be an Exercise Physiologist. When I began my Bachelor of Exercise Science, I didn’t even know the profession existed! It was during a placement alongside an Exercise Physiologist that I found my passion and saw first-hand the impact that exercise therapy had on managing chronic diseases and injuries. I knew from that first day that this was the profession for me.
