Coming from a customer service background, Jack has always valued how his work affects the people around him. As a result, he has developed his skills from personal reflections and feedback from others. This has enabled him to grow his attributes and mindset to achieve optimal goals for his patients, which he has been able to bring into his physiotherapy career.
Jack has many years working as a rehabilitation inpatient physiotherapist prior to joining the team. Here his focus was a wide range of conditions and issues such as orthopaedic surgeries, hospital-acquired weakness, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and recurrent falls, just to name a few. He worked alongside a multidisciplinary team and rehabilitation physician to gather information from different views and expertise to achieve optimal outcome for the patients.
Here he developed a particular interest in the reconditioning and functional retraining of his patients. Which primarily involves identifying weaknesses and strengths during his assessments. This information is used to design a treatment program that utilises biomechanical optimisation and lifestyle changes all while making it an enjoyable experience for the patient.
In particular, Jack has been able to develop a thorough understanding of how the human body works and how physical activity can be used for treatment, while providing the patients with education and advice to promote their own growth and enable them to be apart in their recovery and make meaningful lifestyle changes.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll be sure to find Jack training at the gym or searching the Gold Coast for the best coffee!
