In 2022, Shelby successfully completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Southern Cross University. Following her graduation, she established her own personal training business in her hometown. Additionally, she held the position of head strength and conditioning coach for a rugby league team in Northern New South Wales. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience working as a physiotherapy assistant in a hospital for a period of seven years. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse clientele, including athletes, individuals with neurological conditions, amputees, those recovering from medical illnesses, and individuals who have undergone orthopaedic surgeries.
Shelby firmly believes in adopting a client-centred approach. She devotes time to actively listening and collaborating with her clients to establish realistic and achievable goals.
Approachable and always willing to lend a helping hand, she strives to enhance her clients’ understanding of exercise by educating them on functional movement patterns to improve their mobility and strength.
When developing exercise plans, Shelby integrates evidence-based practices and continually engages in research to explore methods for prescribing exercises and enhancing exercise adherence. She thrives on challenges and eagerly seeks opportunities to acquire new skills from both her colleagues and clients.
